St. Xavier’s Technical Institute organised a one week Faculty Development Training Programme on Fundamentals of Digital Image Processing, under the sponsorship of Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE).

Faculty from various polytechnics across Mumbai region attending the programme would effectively enhance their teaching learning process through the following:

1) Cognition of digital image processing systems. 2) Ability to do programming for various image processing techniques using MATLAB. 3) Implement image enhancement, compression, and segmentation. 4) Gaining detailed knowledge of various applications that address issues related to digital image processing.

Prof. Swati D. Deshpande, Principal, Government Polytechnic graced the commencement of the course by lighting the lamp for blessings and success of the course at the inauguration. Mr. V. Vaidya, Deputy Secretary, MSBTE, was present at the Valedictory Function, to inspire and motivate the participants to avail of all the benefits of attending such MSBTE sponsored faculty development programmes, and also other numerous initiatives taken by MSBTE, to enhance teaching leaning processes in polytechnics……and also give away the certificates of participation.
